The Legacy of HKHMT: A Vision of Unity and Support

The journey of HKHMT began with the legacy of Late Hamza Kunhi Haji, whose nine children laid the foundation for one of the most tightly-knit and progressive family lineages in Kannur. Among them, the youngest son, K.P Abdul Kader, envisioned a community-led initiative that would unite and uplift generations of the KP Family across the globe.

The idea of forming a united family collective was first sparked during a meaningful conversation in Dubai with the late Ummer Kutty. In 2007 KPC Mohammed and Abdul Noor KP joined hands with K.P. Abdul Kader Haji to lay the foundation for what would later become HKHMT. This vision took shape in 2007, marked by the first-ever family gathering held at the residence of late K.P Abdulla's in Mattol. This event officially signified the birth of HKHMT.

In the same year, the UAE chapter was established with the formation of a General Body and the first Family Meet, held at Danial Restaurant. This marked the official launch of HKHMT UAE, led by K.P. Abdul Kader Haji, P.P. Abdulla, late KP Ummer Kutty, Late RP Mustafa, Yasser Kunhi, Azziz, —each of whom played a pivotal role in advancing the mission. 

From the very beginning, HKHMT has embodied the values of unity, compassion, and collective progress. Over the years, its initiatives have made a lasting impact — including:

• Annual Ramadan Kit Distribution to over 116 family households
• Educational support to nurture future generations
• House construction projects for those in need,
• Ambulance donation to the Mattol CH Center

HKHMT has grown not just as an organization, but as a movement of kinship, extending across borders and generations, anchored in faith, love, and shared responsibility.

Today, HKHMT stands as a vibrant symbol of what a united family can achieve — a bridge between legacy and future, rooted in the values that define us.
